KNYSNA NEWS - Members of the Knysna Rotary Club gathered for breakfast at Issaquena Heights Boutique Hotel on Saturday 24 February to pay tribute to three long-standing Rotarians who are stepping down from the club.
Ian Uys, John Satchel and Elwin Thompson were awarded Honorary Rotarian status at the function in recognition of their many years of outstanding service.
Said current club president Herb Hunter, "Together Ian, Elwin and John have contributed over 107 years of service to Rotary, epitomising our organisation's motto of 'Service above Self'. We shall be commemorating them by planting an indigenous tree for each of them at Pledge Nature Reserve."
