KNYSNA NEWS - The municipality hosted the 2025 Strategic Integrated Municipal Engagement in the council chambers on Tuesday 13 May.

This high-level engagement formed part of the Western Cape government's ongoing oversight at municipalities across the province.

Aimed at improving municipal implementation of the budget and the Integrated Development Plan, it was conducted in partnership with provincial treasury and the Department of Local Government.

The municipality said in a press release that in line with the municipal budget circular, such engagements are being held in person at municipal venues to strengthen alignment between the Western Cape government and local municipalities ahead of the 2025/26 Medium-Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework.

"We are committed to fostering constructive intergovernmental relations and planning collaboratively for a more financially sustainable and service-oriented future," it said.
