WESTERN CAPE NEWS - Blood stocks levels in the Western Cape tend to decline during the festive season due to our regular clinics being closed over this period. 

We would therefore like to appeal to all holiday makers and all our regular donors to find a blood donation drive near your holiday destination. 

To aid the search we have launched our WP Blood app to make finding a venue easier for everyone. The app can be downloaded for free on all iOS and Android app stores.

Blood donation takes 30 minutes of your time every 56 days. It requires you to be between the ages of 16 and 65, weigh over 50kg, be in good general health and lead a safe sexual lifestyle. It does not cause you any bodily harm, since only 475ml of blood is taken, which is replaced within 24 hours.
