KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
THEFT - NEW ST (Thurs 29 November @ 08h50) – Client phoned in to report that one of their external CCTV cameras had been stolen off the wall. Camera footage just prior to the theft was reviewed and suspect was identified and apprehended. Case was opened and suspect was handed over to SAPS.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN ST (Fri 30 November @ 11h24) - Allsound Guards reported that a suspect was apprehended for shoplifting. Suspect was well-known offender on parole. A case was opened and suspect was handed over to SAPS.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN ST (Fri 30 November @ 14h38) - Allsound Guards radioed to report a shoplifting. Suspect was apprehended and stolen goods were recovered. Case was opened and suspect was charged.
SHOPLIFTING - RAWSON ST (Sat 1 December @ 09h19) - Officers responded to panic signal. Client apprehended a suspect for shoplifting. Suspect was detained and SAPS notified. A case was opened.
BURGLARY - GRAY ST (Tues 4 December @ 07h36) - Client activated the panic and reported that storeroom had been broken into. Client was unable to determine what was missing at the time. Break-in took place sometime during the night.
BURGLARY - UNION ST (Wed 5 December @ 01h17) - Officer was dispatched to alarm signal and confirmed that door had been forced open. Keyholder was informed but was unsure what was missing. No case was opened at the time, door was secured.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - OLD TOLL RD (Mon 3 December @ 14h23) - Officer was dispatched to alarm signal and found a window broken. Keyholder was notified and confirmed that nothing was missing. No case was opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
THEFT - WAENHOUT ST (Thurs 29 November @ 05h30) - Allsound Officer spotted a suspicious person pushing a wheelchair with 2 bags of cement on the seat. Suspect was apprehended and owner of the cement was notified. Visit our Facebook page for more info.
BURGLARY - GEORGE REX DR (Thurs 29 November @ 22h37) - Allsound guards requested assistance after seeing 2 suspects on adjacent property. Officers confirmed that container door was standing open and several items of building material were found lying outside. Area was searched for suspects, no arrests made. Recovered items were secured and owner notified.
THEFT - WAENHOUT ST (Fri 30 November @ 12h00) - Client phoned in to report that a customers wallet and cellphone had been stolen. Suspect had been apprehended and stolen goods recovered. No case was opened and suspect was released.
BURGLARY - GREENFIELDS (Sat 1 December @ 05h12) - Client phoned to report a break-in. Sliding door had been forced open. A laptop, 4 Cellphones, keys and cash were reported missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD / FISHER HAVEN
THEFT - BARACUDA ST (Thurs 29 November @ 03h30) - Camera Controller spotted an unknown man on the Neighbourhood Cameras and dispatched a vehicle. Officer spoke to one the residents who reported a suspect had stolen a small trampoline from his property. Officers searched the area and surrounds, no arrests made.
SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES / BLARRICUM
BURGLARY - SALT RIVER RD (Sat 1 December @ 21h04) - Allsound Camera Operator spotted a trespasser on CCTV Cameras. Allsound Vehicles were dispatched. Area was searched and Officers blocked off exit routes. At approximately 03h00 the suspect was apprehended and found in possession of stolen laptops, hard drive and speakers which were linked to a house break-in in the area. A case was opened and suspect was charged with house break-in.
BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON
BURGLARY- STINKWOOD ST (Tues 4 December @ 17h08) - Owner telephoned to report that their property was broken into over the weekend. Suspects broken through the roof and disabled alarm signals. Two doors were also forced open. Two flat screen TV's and a firearm were reported missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
