GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Ecolution, the ecological movement, is on a reforesting mission.
Under the banner of From Festival to Forest, the organisation will launch its second edition of this magical, earth-loving weekend filled with music, movement, reforestation, and community connection at the Well-Being Sanctuary in Sedgefield.
Dion Viljoen, founder and co-host of Ecolution Project and Ecolution Festival, said as part of the festival Antony Stone will set out on a journey dedicated to raising awareness for the annual tree planting festival.
"He will be walking from Nature's Valley to the Well-Being Sanctuary near Sedgefield, where our community will gather to plant at least 1 000 indigenous trees at the Ecolution Festival from 3 to 6 October."
The huge number of trees to be planted is thanks to a donation of 1 000 trees from the Butterfly Foundation in the Netherlands.
The public can support the reforesting mission by donating a sapling for R100.
"We ask for your support, and invite you to meet Antony at the finish line for a weekend of like-minded, community-driven, hands-in-the-dirt, feel-good fun," said Viljoen. "Even the smallest donation will help him."
