PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Drugs with an estimated street value of R50 000 were confiscated in Plettenberg Bay over the weekend.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Christopher Spies said the success is attributed to an intelligence-driven operation by various police units in and around Plettenberg Bay and that six suspects have been arrested.
Police pounced on two premises - one in Kwanokuthula and another in New Horizons - on 5 and 6 August where they confiscated a variety of illicit drugs including Mandrax and tik.
The six suspects are expected to appear in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate's Court this week.
