PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS – Legacy House School, a private school in Plett, celebrated the fact that it has been registered with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) with a special open day on Saturday 10 May.
Visitors were escorted around the school and could attend free workshops, including art, science experiments, introduction to coding and brain teaser games.
Samantha Dale, administrator at the school, said it was a milestone for the school to be granted registration as an official WCED examination venue, and they decided to celebrate it with an open day.
Legacy House achieved a 100% matric pass rate in both 2023 and 2024.
Dedication
"We are a small, independent school that opened our high school in 2022," said Dale in a statement.
We offer small, nurturing classes where individual attention is guaranteed, as well as supervised online learning through an international curriculum for those who need flexibility.
"This is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the determination of our students, and the supportive, student-centred environment we strive to create every day."
She said the school is passionate about developing well-rounded young people who are kind, courageous, and confident.
They focus not just on what children learn, but on how they learn - fostering independence, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and a lifelong love of learning.
