KRANSHOEK NEWS - A new computer lab at Kranshoek Primary School was recently opened thanks to the support of the German-based foundation Chance Youth.
The organisation, which has been working with non-profit organisations in Plettenberg Bay and Knysna for at least the past 10 years, sponsored the project under the leadership of Heribert and Barbara Trunk, who reside in Plett for six months of the year.
The facility is equipped with 45 new computers, ensuring that every learner in a class can now participate in computer training sessions. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance learners' reading and mathematics skills.
In addition to the equipment, Chance Youth has funded a dedicated trainer who will manage and support the computer lab for the next three years.
School representatives described the development as a meaningful investment in the future of their learners, highlighting the growing importance of digital access in modern education.
The partnership between international organisations and local schools continues to play a vital role in advancing education and development in the region.
