KNYSNA NEWS - An inquest docket has been opened following the discovery of a decomposed body in the Costa Sarda area of Knysna on Tuesday 14 April.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, officers were called to the scene at approximately 12:45 after a member of the public reported the find.
It is alleged that the man had been walking through bushy terrain when he came across the body.
"Upon arrival, police confirmed the presence of a decomposed male body. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. The cause of death remains unknown at this stage and will be determined as part of an ongoing investigation."
Police have urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
