KNYSNA | BITOU NEWS - Plettenberg Bay and Knysna's class of '22 did the area proud with matric results not only exceeding the national, provincial and regional pass rate, but each of the seven government schools managed a pass rate increase from last year.
The schools in the two towns managed an 86% pass rate, up more than 5% from last year's 81,7%.
Nationally the pass rate for 2022 was 80,1%, in the Western Cape 81,4% and in the Eden and Central Karoo district 83,5%.
The biggest improvement in Plett and Knysna was at Plettenberg Bay Secondary School, which increased its pass rate from 80,8% in 2021 to 91,3% in 2022.
