KNYSNA NEWS- The Living Cornerstone, a registered NPO based in Sedgefield that cares for patients diagnosed with dementia, recently completed a phase of its Cubicle Curtain Project, thanks to support from the Rotary Club of Knysna and the Knysna Rotary Anns.
"At The Living Cornerstone, one of our priorities is to create a safe and homely atmosphere for our residents.
"In order to do so, we rely on organisations to assist us, to help us maintain our property and do regular upgrades," Marietjie Digue, the facility manager at the home, said.
'Maintain dignity'
"We recently completed our Cubicle Curtain Project in two of our rooms, ensuring that our residents can maintain their well-deserved dignity at all times.
"We would not have been able to complete this project phase without the support of Rotary Knysna and the Knysna Rotary Anns.
"I would like to sincerely thank Cheryl of the Knysna Rotary Anns and Mike of Knysna Rotary for their unconditional and ongoing support.
'Caring champions'
"It is very clear that Rotary Knysna and the Knysna Rotary Anns have a passion to make a difference in people's lives, where it matters most."
Digue also thanked two carers at the home, Siphokazi Hassan and Aphiwe Manto, for their efforts.
"We salute them as they are champions when it comes to caring."
