KNYSNA NEWS - Administration, or no administration by the Western Cape provincial government - that is the question on everyone’s lips after the Carte Blanche episode on Sunday 10 August which again highlighted Knysa’s service delivery woes.
The main thrust of Western Cape local government MEC Anton Bredell was that provincial authorities have worked with Knysna for several years, spending money (R50m) and time with little results.
Knysna Mayor Thando Matika said: “Give us time. We are dealing with it”, stating the ruling coalition had brought back financial stability to the town.
The Knysna Infrastructure Group is opposed to administration, as is the Knysna Independent Movement (KIM).
