KNYSNA NEWS - SWD Cricket will be hosting an umpires course at Knysna High School this weekend, and organisers are extending an invite to anyone above the age of 15 who is interested in taking part.
Officials always play a vital role in any sport, and it is no different in cricket where umpires often make decisions that have huge repercussions on the outcome of a match.
It is therefore crucial that all officials are sufficiently trained and qualified, which is why SWD Cricket will be hosting a course on Saturday 9 April.
It will take place in the Knysna High School (KHS) hall and will be offered free of charge.
Interested parties will only need to bring along their own stationery, and can get in touch with KHS head cricket coach Irvin Campher on 072 253 5652 to get involved.
