SEDGEFIELD NEWS - The body of an unidentified man, described as being in an early stage of decomposition, was found near the Sedgefield Lagoon Mouth yesterday morning, Monday 10 July.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, the body was found by a member of the public.
"Information available reveals that the man was walking in the vicinity when he made the discovery," Spies said. "The police responded to the scene and found a man at an early stage of decomposition."
Spies confirmed that the deceased's identity and cause of death could not be determined.
"An autopsy will be conducted later this week."
