SEDGEFIELD NEWS - The body of a man, believed to be that of the 20-year-old man from the Eastern Cape who went missing while swimming at Sedgefield on Saturday 14 December, has been found at Sedgefield.
The body was found on Monday 16 December during an ongoing search operation by personnel of Water Policing and Diving Services, police divers, SAPS Community Orientated Policing volunteers, and the NSRI Wilderness crew.
Formal identification
Western Cape Government Health EMS staff were called to the scene, and the body was removed by staff of the Government Health Forensic Pathology Services.
The formal identification of the body is in progress.
Condolences were offered to the family and friends of the deceased man. Police have opened an inquest docket.
