PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Energy, empowerment and entertainment lit up the New Horizons Sports Stadium as the Bitou Municipality hosted its highly anticipated Women's Day celebration over the past weekend.
With a powerful blend of local flair and national talent, the event brought the community together to honour the vital role women play in society.
One of the highlights of the day was the performance by Ashley Williams, a local artist who represented his roots and proved he could hold his own among South Africa's best.
He shared the stage with music heavy-weights such as Junior King - famous for his anthem Hou gou my shot da - and Kayla Medusa.
The crowd was further wowed by a powerful set from celebrated female vocalist Zintle Kwaaiman.
The event drew a large and lively crowd, with attendees of all ages enjoying a day filled with music and celebration.
The stage production was executed by Irock Trading from Gqeberha (PE), ensuring a world-class experience for both performers and audience.

Organisers praised the day's success, describing it as a celebration not only of women, but of community pride and local talent.
"This event reminded us of the strength and beauty of our women, and the power of coming together as a community," said one of the co-ordinators.
