KNYSNA NEWS - On International Epilepsy Day, marked on 10 February, the Knysna community came together to take part in the Epilepsy SA South Cape/Karoo Branch's annual Big Walk, held to raise awareness of epilepsy and funds for the branch, based in Knysna.
Staff from the branch and members of the Knysna Association for Persons with Disabilities, students from Nelson Mandela University, Hornlee Primary School's "drummies", volunteers from the Knysna Animal Welfare Society, and learners from All Saints Preschool, participated in the walk around Knysna Heights.
The event highlighted the importance of epilepsy-awareness while showing strong community support for those living with the condition.
