TOWN AREA
RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY - NEWTON STR (Sat 13 May @ 03h29) - Officers responded to a panic signal. Owner reported that she woke up to noises to find suspect trying to pull her bag through her bedroom window using a stick. When she shouted, he pushed the burglar bars in, injuring her. Suspect fled with the victims purse. SAPS were notified and all officers searched the area. No arrests made. Investigation continuing.
THEFT - GRAY STR (Sat 13 May @ 08h46) - Keyholder phoned to report that a tin of paint was stolen from a bakkie some time during the night. Case was opened with SAPS.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Sat 13 May @ 12h06) - Allsound Guards requested assistance after apprehending a suspect for shoplifting. Suspect was found in possession of a pack of underwear as well as a stolen pair of jeans under his trousers. Suspect was handed over to SAPS and a case opened.
BURGLARY - MONTAGUE STR (Mon 15 May @ 01h17) - Allsound Officer stopped to assist after resident reported a break-in. Suspect fled with a laptop. Officer assisted in searching the area. No arrests made.
THEFT - MAIN STR (Mon 15 May @ 09h40) - Allsound Guards apprehended a man in possession of brand new bicycle tyres. The tyres were later linked to a theft in Sedgefield. Suspect was handed over to SAPS.
PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUIN
BURGLARY - MC CLELLAND CIRCLE (Thurs 11 May @ 04h30) - Neighbourhood watch reported that a garage was broken into. A weadeater, handsaw and other tools reported missing.
SALT RIVER / EASTFORD EST / BLARRICUM HEIGHTS
BURGALRY - EASTFORD (Wed 17 May @ 01h58) - Officer was dispatched to alarm signal. He confirmed a window had been forced open. Keyholder confirmed the following morning nothing visibly missing from property. No case opened.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - MILKWOOD DR (Fri 12 May @ 05h28) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found garage forced open. A weedeater and garden fork were missing. SAPS were notified. Area was searched but no arrests made.
BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT STR (Sat 13 May @ 16h06) - Client phoned to report a break-in. Suspect forced open the garage door and then removed the glass from interleading door to house. Incident occurred while owner was at home in the bedroom. A laptop was confirmed missing. Case was opened with SAPS.
SHOPLIFTING - HOLIDAY CRES (Sat 13 May @ 17h30) - Client requested assistance after suspect grabbed a bottle of liquor and fled. On-site guard apprehended the suspect. Officer detained suspect and SAPS were notified.
BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT STR (Wed 17 May @ 03h04) - Officer responded to alarm signal from garage. Garage lock was forced open as well as an outside shed. Tools were found packed and ready to go but left on site after suspect fled. Owner confirmed nothing missing, no case opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
BURGLARY - KAPTEIN STR (Sun 14 May @ 01h43) - Officer responded to an alarm signal. Owner confirmed that an intruder broke a window. Nothing missing from the property. Owner declined to open a case.
BURGLARY - UIL STR (Mon 15 May @ 07h58) - Client informed our Control Room of a break-in at the premises. Suspect forced open a window and pulled laptop through. Vehicle had also been broken into. SAPS were informed. Time of incident unknown.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - JONKER STR (Wed 17 May @ 08h01) - Client phoned to report there was an attempted break-in. Force marks were found on the door but no entry was gained. Nothing stolen from the property.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - DUTHIE DR (Thurs 11 May @ 02h09) - Client telephoned to report a break-in at their home. Officers responded and reported that entry was gained by forcing back door open while residents were asleep. A laptop, jewellery and a bicycle were confirmed missing. SAPS were notified and responded.
THEFT OUT OF M.V. - BARRACUDA STR (Sun 14 May @ 08h12) - Client requested assistance after finding her daughters car had been broken into during the night. A wallet was missing from the vehicle. SAPS were informed for a case to be opened.
BURGLARY - LINDSAY STR (Tues 16 May @ 08h19) - Keyholder phoned to report a break-in at the premises. Window was forced open. Keyholder confirmed that an iron, alcohol and some food items were missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
BELVIDERE / PHANTOM RIVER
BURGLARY - FISH EAGLE DR (Sun 14 May @ 07h19) - Client phoned our Control Room to report that their home was broken into during the night. Suspect forced open a window and stole a laptop and cellphone. SAPS were informed and a case was opened.
BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON
BURGLARY - WATSONIA DR (Thurs 11 May @ 12h14) - Resident reported suspicious activity at a nearby house. Officers responded and found a window removed. House is vacant but signs of possible vagrants using the premises were noticed. Reported to the Brenton Neighbourhood Watch
