KNYSNA NEWS – The Knysna Arts Society (KAS) has pooled together the talents of a number of local artists for a group exhibition at the Old Gaol.
The exhibition, which has been titled the United Emergence Exhibition, is on display until 27 April from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Old Gaol, corner of Main Road and Queen Street, Knysna.
Some of the artists include Faith du Plessis, Veronica de Voogt, Lyn Schaefer, Jan Raats, Helena Gerber, Gary Davis, Jose Faria, Lyn Beaton, Peta Bennett, Nanna Joubert and Margie Bolt.
The exhibition is the first group exhibition organised by the Knysna Arts Society since before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the artists are also holding workshops and art demonstrations in the covered courtyard during the time.
The youngest artist within the KAS, 17 year old Mzero Mphathi's art is also on display and he is taking commissions while making art in the Cafe at the Old Gaol.
