GARDENROUTE NEWS - Three players of the Garden Route Badgers were selected for the Hub Invitational Team that will participate in the 65th edition of the Oppenheimer Michaelmas Cricket Week from 4 to 7 October at Maritzburg College in Pietermaritzburg.
The players are Kurt Botha (Rosemoor Hub, George High), Keano Coerecius (Bridgton Hub; Bridgton Senior Secondary) and Enathi Kitshini (Thembalethu Hub, Thembalethu High).
At the end of Michaelmas Week, the team that will participate in the North South Cricket Tournament from 16 to19 October in Pretoria will be announced.
The president at SWD Cricket, Michael Eksteen, congratulated the players on their inclusion and complimented the Hub cricket programme in the province for its achievements. "SWD Cricket has a well-run and efficient Hub Development Programme and in the inclusion of three players from one province - the most from any affiliate - underlines the quality of the programme," he said.
