BITOU NEWS - Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Thoko Didiza and her deputy, Mcebisi Skwatsha, today (Thursday) handed over the title deeds of a 74 ha property earmarked for housing in Kurland, Bitou.
The deeds will allow Bitou municipality to build houses, both low-cost and First Home Finance homes, for the community.
The Kurland land, previously known as Erf 940, was donated by the national government to the municipality to build the houses.
The celebrations took the form of a music celebration and followed a briefing with Bitou council executives at the council chambers in Sewell Street, Plettenberg Bay.
More from Chris van Gass about this in next week’s Knysna-Plett Herald.
