KNYSNA NEWS - A Knysna local and her horse were crowned as the winners of Eastern Cape *Eventing Championships recently, and with it proved that Knysnarians aren't anything to scoff at when it comes to leaping over obstacles on a horse.
Danielle Pieters and her horse Trenzador from Knysna-based DP Equestrian were crowned the Eastern Cape Eventing champions in Port Elizabeth over the weekend of 17 and 18 November.
According to Pieters, she and Trenzador have had an exciting year placing second at the SA Championships held at Kurland in Plettenberg Bay during September, and placed fourth at the Western Province Championships in George in April this year.
"Knysna, despite its small size, is home to many successful equestrians," Pieters added. She said that DP Equestrian, based in Weldbedacht on the Oakhill sports campus, provides a wonderful training base for her and Trenzador.
