GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A group of women dressed in black handed over a petition with 60 000 signatures in protest of bail for Meghan Cremer's murder suspects.
The bail application is expected to start in Athlone Magistrate's Court as soon as the three suspects, Jeremy Dias (27), Charles Daniels (39) and Shiraaz Jaftha (34) arrive from Pollsmoor Prison.
ACDP Social Development Marie Suker is among the women.
"I'm here because violence has become unacceptable in this country. The crimes that are being committed in Women's Month are a tragedy. The root cause of these crimes is the total erosion of societal norms. Social development is key to foster vulnerable children like Jeremy and prevent hunting grounds where gangs target and brainwash children."
