KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Police are investigating a case of murder after a woman died in Hornlee last weekend.
On Saturday 14 October, police were called out to a complaint in Chapel Street. Upon arrival they found that the victim, a 55-year-old woman, had been hacked on the head, allegedly with a panga.
Emergency medical services pronounced her dead on the scene.
A 62-year-old man, who is believed to be the partner of the deceased, was arrested in connection with the murder the same day.
The suspect appeared in the Knysna Magistrate’s Court on Monday 16 October and the case was postponed to Monday 23 October for possible bail application. The suspect remains in custody. The investigation continues.
