GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Whether he's your brother, father, cousin, boyfriend, life partner or husband, men are almost never an easy buy in terms of Christmas presents, and that's why Knysna-Plett Herald is here to help.
If you are stumped as to what to get him this year, we have you covered with a few ideas he might just love:
Chalkboard mug
Simply buy a white mug, chalk, and a small tin of chalkboard paint. Then paint a small chalkboard on the mug, and leave a heartfelt message for him every time you make him a cuppa.
Picture bookmark
Find his favourite picture (preferably of you if you're his significant other), then go out and buy some string. Cut out the subject of the photo to create a bit of a silhouette, or simply go with the full picture, and then punch a hole in the top of the photo.
Thread the string through the hole and there you have it, a picture bookmark.
Surprise treat tray
Surprise him with a tray of his favourite goodies to eat/drink. Whether it's biltong, chips, beer or whiskey, or whatever tickles his fancy, prop it on a tray with some Christmas decorations and surprise him.
Beer brownies
Beer brownies are definitely something the man in your life can enjoy. These may sound weird, but you just have to try them.
Box them up in cute wrapping and give them to him as a surprise gift, perhaps with a six-pack of his favourite beer. You can find a great recipe for beer brownies online at Dessert for Two.
52 Dates kit
Lastly, this is more for the couples out there (unless you want to help romanticise your brother's relationship). We have 52 weeks in a year, and why not give your significant other 52 ideas for dates? You can, of course, slide a few of your favourites in there too, if you'd like.
Beer brownies along with a six-pack will surely do the trick.
