KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Fire and Rescue Department has contained a small fire aboard a catamaran docked at the Knysna Waterfront.
The fire broke out around midday, and while information is still sparse, it is believed it was contained to the cabin area and sleeping quarters, as there was no visible external damage to the vessel.
The fire department responded within minutes of smoke being spotted arising from the cabin, and managed to put out the fire in under 30 minutes.
Boats that were docked around the catamaran were also swiftly moved from the scene to avoid risk of the fire spreading.
