KNYSNA NEWS - #WalkKnysna, an initiative by Knysna Tourism, was trending in South Africa earlier today as it made the top five most talked-about subjects on Twitter.
Knysna Tourism organised a Twitter session on Wednesday 6 September, which created a platform for people’s questions posted on Twitter to be answered.
Thousands of people joined the conversation, replied and/or retweeted, which gained the momentum for the campaign.
Jeannine Orzechwski, who is in charge of Knysna Tourism’s public relations, said, “There are various areas within Knysna that people may have not seen. We’ve organised five different walks and everyone is welcome to join, but there is limited space so people need to book.”
She added that donations will be welcome for various community projects.
Orzechwski said although the walks are free, donations will be welcome for various community projects.
The scheduled walks are:
• Gericke’s Point in Sedgefield on 9 September
• Rasta Community Tour on 12 September
• Jubilee Creek Forest on 21 September
• Smutsville Township Tour on 26 September
• Historical Walk on 30 September.
