PLETTEBERG BAY NEWS - Rescue workers traversed tricky terrain last weekend to save a US tourist who fractured a leg during a kloofing accident on the Salt River in Nature's Valley.
Plettenberg Bay sea rescue station commander Marc Rodgers said they received a call for assistance from the Mountain Club of SA just before 14:00 on Saturday 6 April.
"We assisted the Mountain Club members to medically stabilise the man.
He was secured into a Stokes basket stretcher and hiked out of the kloof. He was then transported to hospital by ambulance in a serious but stable condition for further treatment."
