KNYSNA NEWS - The little ones at Stepping Stones Pre-Primary School in Knysna have been busy this month, learning about fire safety, transport, water, water pollution, and the environment.
On Tuesday 3 November the learners received a visit from the Knysna Fire and Rescue Department.
They were first given information regarding safety in the case of fire and were then shown the gear that the firefighters wear when called out to a fire. The school would like to thank the Knysna Fire Brigade for their willingness to visit the school.
The information they shared with the learners was age- appropriate and relevant.
On Wednesday 4 November, the learners walked to the Knysna Waterfront to enhance their topics on transport, water and water pollution and our environment. The learners took a look at the old railway station and then at various water craft.
The Waterfront management very kindly raised the bridge across the canal for them to see. They then picnicked on the Knysna Yacht Club slipway where they had a panoramic view of the beautiful area.
