• A huge thumbs up to the Knysna Rotary Club for their incredible donation to those who suffered a loss in the Knysna fires. We are greatly humbled by their generosity. It's organisations like these that have made this difficult situation easier to bare! Thank you so very much, we are forever in your debt.
• To The Daily in Woodmill Lane. We really appreciated the complementary coffees you gave to the team running the disaster relief clothing and bedding sorting depot in Woodmill Walk – you kept us going!
• To our collectors for their time and effort, to the Knysna public for their generosity at our street collection on May 27 – thank you all so much, it was a record-breaking day for the Knysna Disaster Fund, allowing us to help many people in need in the coming months.
• To Sue Mills at Belvidere Manor for another great donation of bed linen, to Workshop Interiors for their donation of fabrics, and to Hospice and KAWS for passing on their unsold stock to us. Grateful thanks from Knysna Disaster Fund.
• To Barbara Iain, thank you both for your kindness and generosity in accommodating us at your beautiful Islander B&B during the Knysna fires. Much love from your refugees.
THUMBS DOWN
• To the large hotel on George Rex Drive that ripped up metres of paved pedestrian/cycle pathway to relocate the hotel entrance. Several months later, the paving has not been replaced.
