PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plettenberg Bay sculptor Robbie Leggat has had a brush with royalty – not physically, but his sculpture of a wandering albatross has.
The sculpture was at the centre of an event at South Africa House in London on 20 March which the Duke of Edinburgh handed a major benefactor of the Mouse-Free Marion project, Dr Frederik Paulsen Jr.
The Duke has become the Royal patron of the Mouse-Free Marion project, a project launched by BirdLife South Africa to rid the island of house mice which have become a threat to rare breeding birds such as the wandering albatross.
