KNYSNA NEWS - It was revealed last night that Knysna is one of the secret towns where the 2022 Sasol Solar Challenge will be stopping.
The cars will be at the Knysna High School ground today, 15 September, between 10:00 and 15:00. This will be the first time the event stops in Knysna.
After travelling more than 1 800 kilometres from Johannesburg (taking stops along the route), the Sasol Solar Challenge will make its eighth control stop in Knysna.
The solar car teams will have an opportunity to refresh, swap drivers, do repairs, and strategise.
The Sasol Solar Challenge will then move to Riversdale (Laerskool Volschenk), which will be the finish line for day seven of eight of the event. Laerskool Volschenk will be the start line for day eight of the Sasol Solar Challenge.
Solar cars will depart the venue between 07:00 and 08:30.
