PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - With growing interest in Plettenberg Bay as a film location and recent productions using the coastal holiday town as a backdrop for anything from series to documentaries, Plett Tourism is hosting a three-day film location scout.
The scout is a collaborative effort with the Garden Route Film Commission (GRFC) to document and video Plett, its surrounding natural environment, activities and potential locations.
This will be done by JP Lieuvaux, an experienced professional film scout who works throughout South Africa for many film production companies.
According to the Plett Tourism team, the Plett portfolio will be hosted on the GRFC website, and will be shared with other production companies as the briefs come in.
Lieuvaux has set up his own extensive itinerary that comprehensively covers what the area has to offer.
Plett Tourism called on local businesses to email brayley@pletttourism.com to be added to the growing database of film service companies in Plett so that details and information can be shared when necessary.
They also called on locals to register on the GRFC website, as a service provider.
The team said the Garden Route International Film Festival will also be taking place in August this year and details will be shared on the Plett Tourism platforms.
