GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - An email alerting members of the public of a package being held for them at the post office has been doing the rounds.
The email states that following the receipt of prescribed payment, the package will be released.
Warrant Officer Pieter Koekemoer, spokesperson of the Mossel Bay Police Station warned members of the public not to react to this email.
"This email is not from a reliable source and a scam. The SAPS reminds members of the public to be excessively mindful of doubtful emails as cybercrime is on the rise in South Africa."
