The area up to the water mark is the responsibility of SANParks. SANParks ranger often replace bricks and stones used in the area, where vagrants are often seen loitering.
Nandi Mgwadlamba, SANParks communication officer, thanked the Knysna-Plett Herald for bringing this matter to their attention.
SANParks agreed to relay the stones with the assistance of its Working for the Coast programme (as the work will require a lot of hands) and also to approach the owners of the disintegrating jetty.
