KNYSNA NEWS - Yesterday (11 May) the Knysna section of the Garden Route National Park along with the Knysna Municipality handed out 100 food parcels to families in need in Hornlee, Dam-se-Bos, Nekkies, and Qolweni.
The parcels were donated thanks to the hard work of Sanparks' Honourary Rangers, who raised the money to be able to purchase the items that were put in the food parcels.
The parcels included items such as potatoes, maize meal, cooking oil, samp, hand sanitisers and masks.
The first 100 families were identified and received their parcels on Monday 11 May with another 60 set to receive theirs on Thursday 14 May.
