KNYSNA NEWS - SANParks and Featherbed Nature Reserve partnered to extend their Women's Month programme, promoting empowerment and education for young girls.
As part of National Parks Week, the initiative aimed to inspire and engage young minds while fostering a love for nature and conservation.
Seventy girls from Murray High School and Concordia High School participated in the event on 22 September, which began with an exciting boat trip to the picturesque Featherbed Nature Reserve, where they were treated to a full morning of learning about the environment through enjoyable activities, ending off with a delicious lunch.
The learners from the respective schools along with their educator, Jennifer Noluthando Mafu, and Dr Alice Pedro.
