PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Rioting by Qolweni residents in Plettenberg Bay has entered its third day.
Rioters have blocked the N2, between the Shell garage and Kwanokuthula, with rocks and other debris.
It is believed that the riots broke out on Thursday evening as a result of unhappiness over the Qolweni housing project.
The protesting persisted on Friday and continued through the night.
Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and use Airport Road as an alternative. When using this detour, motorists are also advised to drive with caution as the road has become congested and is being used by trucks too.
