KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) would like to thank all the supporters who donated funds during this year’s Simola Hillclimb, but the stars of the events were the learners from Knysna High School – Nicolene, Xander, Sandanathi, Beanca, Khanyisa, Masi, Tiaan, Ronan and Miss Bell – who offered their time to do collections in the heat on Saturday and Sunday on our behalf.
They managed to raise just over R2 800 and we also received a donation of R1 000 from a supporter, Mr Ray Neethling.
We would also like to thank our very own Tanya Watts (2015 Queen of the Hill) from Knysna, who is behind this initiative to assist with raising much-needed funds for our society.
"We will put these funds towards our Sponsor Spay project, to make sure that there would be less unwanted litters of puppies and kittens in the next season," says KAWS manager Retha Havenga.

The money raised will go towards KAWs Sponsor Spay project.
