KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna post office is asking those people whose houses burnt down in June to pick up their mail as it is accumulating.
Post office manager Zanele Kula says, "After the fires we could not deliver post to some of the residents because their houses had burnt down [hence no address], so we decided to keep their post for them and invited them to pick it up at the post office instead."
Kula said these measures were only meant to be in place for three months, but six months later, post for fire victims is still coming in and piling up.
A special section exists where there are no long queues. Kula reminds the community that since there will be no wait, they should be able to just "walk in and out" as they collect their post.
