PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Three teams from Plettenberg Bay took first, second and third place in the Nissan Two Bowl Trips held on 22 and 23 August at the Leisure Isle bowling club in Knysna under terrible weather conditions.
The Plett teams defeated members from the Knysna, Sedgefield and Leisure Isle bowling clubs to walk away with the three top spots.
Leisure Isle Spring Bowls
The prestigious Leisure Isle Spring Bowls Tournament takes place on 4, 5 and 6 September at the Leisure Isle bowling club, where 96 players will be playing from as far afield as Cape Town and East London.
This will be the 15th year that Personal Trust is the main sponsor. The other sponsor is Knysna Lifestyle Estates, while many local business have sponsored wonderful prizes for which the organisers are extremely grateful.
Huge prizes, lots of lucky draws and spot prizes are up for grabs.
The public is urged to go watch some of the best bowlers in the country competing against each other.
This is the club's biggest competition for the year.
