PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Mr and Miss Plett-Knysna contestants did a beach cleanup along Central Beach last Saturday after attending a talk by the Renew Able Plett team at The Old Rectory.
They found out how to and why there is a need to reduce single-use plastics and waste to landfill. Contestants then sorted everything they found into recyclables and nonrecyclables and the majority of waste could go to the recycling depot.
The Renew Able Plett campaign incentivises and supports businesses, community organisations and schools to reduce waste to landfill, go plastic-free, recycle, compost and make eco-bricks for community building projects.
