KNYSNA NEWS - It is not over until the fat lady sings, they say. Well, the Knysna Oyster Festival is not over until the Colour Fun Run Concert commences, an event that was postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions in July and that has now come back revamped with a new name, sensational line-up featuring national acts and more local talents.
The iKasi CFR Spring Edition promises to have Loerie Park filled to capacity as some of the big names to appear there are said to include actor Simphiwe Majozi who plays Sbu in South Africa's popular soapie Uzalo; Izulu lam hit maker Mpumi; rapper YoungstaCPT, actor Thami Mbongo from Rhythm City and Isthembiso, as well as a wide variety of locals acts.
And who better to host this show than Knysna's very own actor Graeme Mkhalimi.
The show will take place this Saturday 28 September from 13:00. There will also be a variety of food stalls, so fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and support local entrepreneurs.
People who bought tickets for the show in July have been refunded, but if there are any people who haven't yet been reimbursed, says organiser Oliver Mabhukane, they must contact the individuals they bought the tickets from.
The CFR was one of three community events in July that were sponsored by Knysna Municipality to form a part of the Oyster Festival.
