PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The search is on for talented Plettenberg Bay performing artists. Tshisa Talent's drive is planning a host of auditions across Bitou to discover and hone talent in the Bitou area.
Tshisa Talent is a Plettenberg Bay-based non-profit organisation that discovers, develops and promotes performing art talent.
Over the past 12 years the team have worked extensively across the Western and Eastern Cape and have assisted hundreds of artists to find ways to build their careers.
Tshisa Talent will be hosting open mic auditions in six communities in Bitou from 24 May to 28 June this year. These include the Crags, Kranshoek, Greenvalley, Pine Trees, New Horizons and Kwanokuthula.
Venues are expected to be announced shortly. Organisers said that groups or solo performing artists are welcome to participate.
"There are no age restrictions or disability restrictions. Bring your beat or your musical instrument. If you miss it in your area, run to the nearest [other] spot and audition there," the team said.
Selected artists will have an opportunity to share the stage with artists from the Eastern Cape at a paid gig called the African Waves Arts Festival in September.
