PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Early on Monday morning, 6 November, the Plettenberg National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) were called out to a road accident where 14 patients were treated.
Marc Rodgers, NSRI Plettenberg Bay station commander, said: “At 7:46, Monday, 6 November, NSRI Plettenberg Bay medics responded to the N2 by the Engen Garage where a motor vehicle accident occurred with reported multiple casualties.
“Our NSRI medics assisted patients on the scene and the SA police, traffic services, Med-Life ambulance services, Western Cape government health EMS and Bitou Fire and Rescue Services attended.”
Rodgers said, “At least 14 patients were treated for injuries ranging in severity and all patients, in stable conditions, have been transported to hospitals by ambulances."
Police and traffic services are investigating the accident.
