PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Marc Rodgers, NSRI Plettenberg Bay station commander, reported that on Monday 16 April, the NSRI medical crew were activated following reports of a local 72-year-old man suffering a suspected heart attack near to the Dunes holiday flats.
NSRI medical crew, the NSRI doctor, and the NSRI rescue vehicle responded, as well as ER24 ambulance services.
"On arrival on the scene extensive CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) efforts commenced on the man suspected to have suffered heart failure.
"These efforts were continued in the ambulance and continued in hospital but after all efforts to resuscitate the man was exhausted, he was declared deceased by doctors."
The NSRI conveyed condolences to family and friends.
