PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS FLASH - COPE member and longtime Plettenberg Bay resident Romeo Koeberg was not only sworn in as a Bitou councillor during a special council meeting today, but was also elected as the town's new deputy mayor.
Koeberg replaces Adam van Rhyner who was recently suspended by COPE after breaching the party's coalition agreement with the DA by siding with the ANC to call for a special council meeting last year to serve a motion of no confidence in, among other councillors, Bitou mayor Memory Booysen.
