Pupils of Knysna High School and Percy Mdala were treated to a guided tour of the Water Works in Knysna and then participated in a thrilling drama workshop of water related activities which were designed to educate learners towards the importance of water conservation.
Joint co-ordinator of the week, Vernon Gibbs-Halls of Eden District Municipality commented: “Water Week each year continues to serve as a powerful campaign mechanism re-iterating the value of water, the need for sustainable management of this scarce resource and the role water plays in eradicating poverty and under-development in South Africa.”
