KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Mayor Aubrey Tsengwa on Friday 8 December officially rung in the start of the festive season, with Knysna's annual 'Mayor's Roadblock" welcoming visitors to the town.
Every year Knysna's mayor takes to the N2 with municipal law enforcement members to share a smile and officially welcome motorists to Knysna ahead of the festive season.
He was joined this year by Deputy Mayor Alberto Marbi and Municipal Manager Ombali Sebola too, not only handing out smiles. They also handed motorists pamphlets and guides to showcase the sights and wonders of Knysna.
"The mayor urged motorists to fuel the local spirit by supporting local businesses," said Knysna Municipality's communications team in a media statement.

"The municipality received support from the Department of Correctional Services, IEC, and Knysna Alcohol and Drug Centre making sure the holiday spirit flows as smoothly as the N2 traffic (well, almost!). Here's to a season filled with laughter and support for local gems."
