KNYSNA NEWS - During a special expo aimed at young entrepreneurs and business owners last week, some very special young business minds were put on show.
The expo was the brainchild of the Knysna Community Development Workers (CDW) on behalf of the Western Cape Department of Local Government (DLG), and was held at Knysna Mall on Friday 24 June.
According to a Knysna Municipality social media post, the mall became alive as young entrepreneurs displayed a variety of interests attracting adventurous hearts, coffee addicts, beauties, plant lovers, food lovers, fashion mavericks, ink addicts, proverbial hosts and more.
While the brainchild of the Knysna CDW, it was a collaborative effort between a variety of organisations, including Knysna Municipality, the DLG, the Small Enterprise Development Agency, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, YearBeyond, the Greater Knysna Business Chamber, National Development Agency (NDA), National Empowerment Fund, Small Enterprise Finance Agency, and the National Youth Development Agency.
The aim of the expo was to promote and assist existing small money-making enterprises and their development by providing a platform for affiliation development, collaboration and business support.
